Legal Requirements

 

Zoëtry Casa del Mar Los Cabos

The following list of legal requirements are needed only for legal marriage. The Zoëtry Casa del Mar Los Cabos wedding coordinator must receive the following documents to begin the application for marriage in the Civil Registry Office.  

Bride(s) and Groom(s) are required to arrive to Los Cabos at least two business days before the wedding day. Witnesses are only required to be present on the day of the wedding. Symbolic and non-legal ceremonies allow flexibility for arrival date. Please speak with the resort’s wedding coordinator to discuss requirements.  

The Zoëtry Casa del Mar Los Cabos wedding coordinator must receive the following scanned documents via e-mail to be able to begin the application for marriage in the Civil Registry Office:  

  • Bride(s) and Groom(s) Birth Certificates  
  • Bride(s) and Groom(s) IDs (driver’s license or passport) 
  • Tourist Card (this is given to you upon entry to Mexico)  
  • If Bride(s) or Groom(s) are divorced, the final divorce decree is needed 
  • Witnesses IDs  
  • Blood test must be taken in Mexico. To be considered valid, the test cannot be taken more than 14 days prior to the ceremony. The blood will be tested for HIV, STD’s (sexually transmitted diseases) and blood type. The results will be ready in 24 hours together with a certificate of the blood test and the fee will be paid directly to the doctor in cash the day the test is administered. 
  • The names, addresses, nationalities, ages, occupation, relationship, copy of aTouristCard and a valid identification of the four witnesses. The wedding coordinator will send you the legal form. The witnesses can be relatives, friends or anyone who has a valid passport.  
  • The Marriage Certificate is only valid in Mexico.In order tomake it legal internationally, we encourage our guests to have their Marriage Certificate translated through www.ultratranslate.com
